Whitney James: Agnetha Fältskog / Barbra Streisand
With her powerful and dynamic range, passionate performances, and versatility, Chicago-born vocalist Whitney James has a voice that defies labels. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, where she studied under the guidance of greats such as renowned jazz vocalist Jay Clayton and Sheila Jordan.
Whitney has played and/or recorded with many of Seattle’s finest musicians, including her own trio, Vocal Flight, Jim Knapp’s Big Band, Randy Halberstadt and The Diana Moves Sessions.
She has proven herself as a classical artist, jazz vocalist and composer, soul diva, and now stands to add pop icon to that list. |
